What It Is

  • Cooper Complete Omega-3 Liquid Supplement supports joint health, skin hydration, and a healthy inflammatory response.†
  • Cooper Complete Advanced Omega-3 Liquid supplement is naturally flavored with mango and contains no added sugar.

Omega-3 supplements from fish oil are most commonly in the ethyl ester form. The fish oil in Cooper Complete Advanced Omega-3 Liquid supplement is in the triglyceride (TG) form, as studies have shown triglyceride oils are better absorbed by the body, especially when taken on an empty stomach.

Chemically, triglycerides are three fatty acids connected to a glycerol backbone. To put it in simple terms, triglycerides are the omega-3 fats found naturally in animal and plant species, including fish. This bioidentical triglyceride form allows for enhanced absorption and better bodily assimilation.

How to Use:

As a dietary supplement, take one (1) teaspoon (5 mL) daily with a meal or as directed by your health care professional. Each teaspoon contains 1.3 grams of EPA, 850 mg DHA and 175 mg DPA. DPA stands for docosapentaenoic acid, an intermediate between EPA and DHA that collects in the liver, breast, eyes, brain, heart tissues and red blood cells. Each bottle contains 30 servings.

How It Helps

Advanced Omega-3 Liquid Fish Oil supplement is a molecularly distilled, high-potency fish oil sourced from wild-caught anchovies, jack mackerel, mackerel, and sardines. Omega-3 supplements and the long-chain omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic  (EPA) and docosapentaenoic (DHA) are some of the most studied nutrients globally. An “essential” fatty acid, the body needs omega-3s for optimal health, but cannot produce them, so they must be consumed through diet or supplementation.

Supports Cardiovascular Health

  • Omega-3s support healthy heart rhythm†
  • Research published in the International Journal for Vitamin and Nutrition Research found that participants who consumed 760 mg EPA and 440 mg DHA per day for 12 weeks reduced triglycerides by 23 percent.†
  • Omega-3 fatty acids support vascular health and help maintain healthy arteries.†
  • Omega-3 fatty acids support healthy blood pressure†.
  • The American Heart Association recommends up to 4 grams of omega-3 fatty acids daily for those concerned about blood lipids.

Mood Support

Omega-3 fatty acids don’t seem to impact mild depression particularly, but after reviewing studies that used 1,000 mg to 6,000 mg of EPA and DHA, the studies with a 60 percent or greater concentration of EPA showed significant improvements in moderate and major depression.† The International Society for Nutritional Psychiatry Research issued guidelines in 2019 stating that in adults with major depressive disorder, omega-3 supplements can accelerate the effects of an antidepressant when started at the same time as the antidepressant, as well as enhance the effects of an antidepressant when the results have been inadequate.† The supplement recommendations are 1 to 2 grams (1000-2000 IU) per day for at least 8 weeks of either 100 percent EPA or a combination of EPA and DHA, where the ratio is 2:1.

Supports Cognitive Function and Development

  • Omega-3 fatty acids also support brain health and cognition.†
  • The Omega-3 fatty acid subcommittee, assembled by the Committee on Research on Psychiatric Treatments of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), recommends adults eat fish two or more times per week, and patients with mood, impulse control or psychotic disorders consume one gram (1,000 milligrams) EPA + DHA (combined) per day.
  • While fish oil supplementation has generally not been shown to prevent depression, it may support emotional balance.†

Helps Maintain A Healthy Inflammatory Response

Omega-3 has been shown to support a healthy inflammatory response in the body.†

Support Skin Hydration

Omega-3s support skin hydration and overall skin health.†

Increases Ocular and Visual Health

Omega-3s support visual function and eye comfort.†

Reduces Preterm Birth

The American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine recommends that women of childbearing age consume at least 250 mg per day of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA from foods (such as fatty fish) or supplements. During pregnancy, an additional intake of at least 100 to 200 mg of DHA per day is recommended.†

10 Questions
Ask a Question
Q:

Is there a certain time of day I need to take the liquid form of omega-3?

A:

Omega-3 fatty acids are fat-soluble, so taking them with a meal that includes some healthy fat supports optimal absorption. The mango-flavored liquid provides a pleasant way to include it with your meals.†

Q:

I noticed this formulation has omega-3 fatty acids, but doesn’t contain any krill oil. Why not?

A:

We’ve intentionally created an omega-3 product that does not contain krill oil. Learn about the differences between omega-3 fatty acids and krill oil.

Q:

Do Omega 3 and CoQ10 do many of the same things. Why take both?

A:

While CoQ10 and Omega-3 both provide essential nutrients your body needs, they serve different functions. CoQ10 is a naturally occurring antioxidant that helps support energy production in the mitochondria—the part of the cell responsible for generating energy.† It plays a key role in supporting heart health and cellular function.† Natural levels of CoQ10 can decline with age or with the use of certain medications, such as statins, which is why some individuals consider supplementation.†

Omega-3 fatty acids are one of the most well-researched nutrients on the market, with more than 30,000 published studies exploring their benefits. Most widely known to provide heart health benefits, research shows omega-3 fatty acids support good health in a wide variety of ways, including brain, eye, sleep, skin, and gut health†. Additionally, Omega-3s may help reduce inflammation and support emotional well-being. Taking both nutrients may offer complementary benefits for heart and cellular support, depending on your individual health needs.†

Q:

Is this omega-3 supplement in the ethyl-ester or triglyceride form?

A:

This omega-3 supplement is in the triglyceride form.

Q:

Does this product need to be refrigerated after opening?

A:

Advanced Omega-3 Liquid does not require refrigeration and can be safely stored at room temperature. However, some individuals find that chilling the product helps reduce the perception of taste or aftertaste, as colder temperatures can mute flavors.

If you’re sensitive to the flavor of fish oil, keeping the bottle in the refrigerator after opening may make it more palatable. Just be sure to store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight to preserve freshness.

Q:

I already eat a lot of fish. Should I take this omega-3 supplement?

A:

At Cooper Complete, we follow a food-first philosophy—prioritizing whole foods and using supplements to help fill in nutritional gaps. If you’re regularly eating four or more servings per week of fatty fish such as salmon, sardines, mackerel, or trout, you may already be getting adequate amounts of omega-3 fatty acids from your diet.†

However, dietary needs can vary based on health goals and individual factors. If you’re unsure whether your omega-3 intake is sufficient, consider discussing it with your healthcare provider.

Q:

Is consuming Cooper Complete Advanced Omega-3 supplements safe if I suffer from atrial fibrillation?

A:

If you have atrial fibrillation (AFib) or any heart condition, it’s important to speak with your cardiologist or healthcare provider before starting any new supplement, including omega-3s.

Omega-3 fatty acids are known to support overall heart health,† and some research has explored their effects on heart rhythm. However, findings have been mixed, especially at higher doses, and the relationship between omega-3s and atrial fibrillation remains complex. Your healthcare provider can help you determine what’s best for your individual situation.

Q:

I’m allergic to shellfish. Can I take it?

A:

Because the fish in Cooper Complete Advanced Omega-3 Liquid fish oil is sourced from wild anchovies, jack mackerel, mackerel and sardines, it does not contain any shellfish.

Q:

I take the blood thinner Eliquis. Is it safe to take Omega 3?

A:

If you are taking an anticoagulant, discuss with your healthcare provider what is best for you before adding Omega 3 or any supplements to your routine. Omega 3 may interact with drugs that affect blood clotting and while serious interactions are rare, they may slightly increase the risk of bleeding—especially when taken with medications that also impact clotting.

Q:

I’m afraid to take liquid omega because “liquid fish oil” sounds terrible! What does this product taste like?

A:

We get it—“liquid fish oil” doesn’t exactly sound appetizing! But Cooper Complete Advanced Omega-3 Liquid is flavored with natural mango, and most people find it pleasant and surprisingly mild.

While it’s not a dessert, many are amazed at how palatable it is—especially considering the high concentration of omega-3 fatty acids per teaspoon. One measured teaspoon provides 1,075 mg of omega-3s, including 650 mg EPA and 425 mg DHA†. It can be taken straight from the spoon or mixed into a smoothie or vanilla protein shake.

If you choose to blend it into a drink, be sure to consume it shortly after preparation, as omega-3s—especially in liquid form—are sensitive to oxidation from air and light.
